Meet Desrie Campbell
I have had the pleasure of serving students and their families for the past eight years, and serving the Fremont Community for over 24 years. As President of the Board, and a community leader, I remain committed to working to ensure a high quality education for all students.
Because the conditions of learning have changed due to COVID-19 and distance learning, we are faced with additional challenges in an unprecedented time in school history. That is why we need experienced, knowledgeable and strong leaders on the Fremont Board of Education. I am a strong leader, who will make tough decisions to advocate for all students, including high achieving students, students with special needs, English language learners, and students that face educational challenges. I currently have a grandson enrolled and will soon have another rising kindergartner, so I have a long way to go with supporting their education.
Serving all students requires working closely with teachers and administrators to evaluate programs, policies and systems for best practices and equity. In my professional life as a Community Engagement Manager, I have seen the need for programs focused on health services, especially social and emotional health. I am a proven public servant, with a BS Degree in Business and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration and Governance. I have worked diligently with purpose and focus to get positive results. I would be honored to receive your vote.
